DISTINCTIVE is a multi-disciplinary collaboration of 10 universities and 3 key industry partners from across the UK’s civil nuclear sector.
Experts (including DISTINCTIVE’s Prof. Neil Hyatt) went to the SMC to discuss what science, economics and engineering have to say about the issue.
This event that was held in Bristol was financially supported by the EPSRC DISTINCTIVE grant (EP/L014041/1) as part of the programme’s ‘Pathways to Impact’ strategy.
The winner of the NNL WM2016 bursary competition is Johannes (Andre) Botha, PhD student at the University of Leeds, for his proposed paper titled “A Novel Technology for Complex Rheological Measurements”.
NNL is kindly offering a bursary of £2000 to support the attendance of a DISTINCTIVE PDRA or PhD student at the Waste Management 2016 conference.
The DISTINCTIVE University Consortium held its 1st Annual Meeting at the Millennium Gallery, Sheffield, on Wednesday 15th and Thursday 16th April 2015.
The Consortium is seeking proposals from Postdoctoral Research Associates (PDRAs) to facilitate active research, international secondments and small equipment purchases.
In 2014, members of the DISTINCTIVE Leadership Team took the consortium “on the road”.
